THE LESSON<\/p>\n
Then Jesus took His disciples up the mountain, and gathering them
\naround Him, He taught them saying:<\/p>\n
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of
\nheaven.<\/p>\n
Blessed are the meek.<\/p>\n
Blessed are they that mourn.<\/p>\n
Blessed are the merciful.<\/p>\n
Blessed are the they who search for justice.<\/p>\n
Blessed are you who suffer.<\/p>\n
Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is great in heaven.<\/p>\n
Remember what I am telling you.”<\/p>\n
Then Simon Peter said, “Do we have to write this down?”<\/p>\n
And Andrew said, “Are we supposed to know this stuff?”<\/p>\n
And James said, “Will we have a test on it?”<\/p>\n
And Phillip said, “Can I borrow a pencil?”<\/p>\n
And Bartholomew said, “Do we have to turn this in?”<\/p>\n
And John said, “The other disciples didn’t have to learn this!”<\/p>\n
And Matthew said, “When do we get out of here?”<\/p>\n
And Judas said, “What does this have to do with the real world?”<\/p>\n
And the other disciples likewise.<\/p>\n
Then one of the pharisees who were present asked to see Jesus’
\nlesson plan and inquired of Jesus His terminal objectives in the
\ncognitive domain.<\/p>\n
